Step 1

Bring a pot of water to a boil, add salt (not included in the ingredients list), and cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions.

Step 2

Cut the bacon into thick batons, slice the onion into 0.2-inch (5 mm) wedges, and halve the green bell pepper before cutting them into 0.2-inch (5 mm) strips.

Step 3

Place the bacon in a skillet and sauté slowly. Once browned, add a swirl of vegetable oil and the onion. Sauté until the onion becomes translucent.

Step 4

Add the green bell pepper and the contents of the Kayanoya vegetable dashi packet. Sauté briefly, then add [A] and mix well.

Step 5

When the sauce begins to simmer, add the spagetti and toss to combine.
