Miso Soup with Onion and Snow Peas

  1. Slice the new onion into 1/2-inch rings. Remove the strings from the snow peas and cut them in half.
  2. Add [A] to a pot and bring to a boil. Simmer over medium heat for 2–3 minutes, then remove the dashi packet.
  3. Add the onion and snow peas, then simmer over low heat for 2–3 minutes.
  4. Dissolve the miso into the soup, remove from heat, and serve.

Tip: Slicing the onion into rings cuts through the fibers, resulting in a softer texture.
