Pumpkin and Sweet Potato with Spiced Honey Butter

With the sweetness of honey and vegetable dashi accented by the aroma of cinnamon… Familiar ingredients with a fresh new twist. Perfect to enjoy even as a little snack.


Ingredients

  • 9 oz (250 g) pumpkin
  • 9 oz (250 g) sweet potato
  • [A] 1 packet Kayanoya Original Vegetable Stock Powder (remove from the packet)
  • [A] 1 tbsp honey
  • [A] 1 tbsp (15 g) butter
  • [A] 1 cinnamon stick
  • [A] 1/2 cup (100 ml) water

Directions

  1. Cut the pumpkin and sweet potato into about 1/2 inch (1 cm) slices. Soak the sweet potato in water, then drain well.
  2. Place the pumpkin, sweet potato, and [A] into a heavy-bottomed pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce to low heat, cover with a lid, and simmer-steam for about 15 minutes.
