How to Use Umami Dashi & Sauce for Pasta

Included in the Kit:

  • 1 packet Kayanoya Original Kelp Stock Powder
  • 1 packet special sauce
  • 1 packet roasted seaweed

What You Will Need to Prepare:

  • 3.5 oz (100 g) spaghetti
  • 2 cups (about 500 ml) water
  • Preferred amount of your favorite mushrooms

Open the Kayanoya Kelp Stock Powder packet and add it to a pot with 2 cups (about 500 ml) of water. Heat over medium heat.

Tip: A deep pot about 8 inches (20 cm) in diameter works best.

COOK THE PASTA

When the water comes to a boil, add the spaghetti. Once the pasta is fully submerged, cook for the time indicated on the pasta package, stirring occasionally. Simmer gently over low to medium heat.

Tip: Adjust the firmness of the noodles to your preference. You can also add optional ingredients such as mushrooms, seafood, or vegetables during this step. Raw vegetables should be added toward the end of cooking.

Stir in the special sauce and continue cooking until the mixture returns to a gentle boil.

SERVE WITH TOPPINGS

Transfer the pasta to a deep serving bowl and place the roasted seaweed on top.
