Included in the Kit:

  • 1 packet whole spices [1]
  • 1 packet special spices [2]
  • 1 packet Kayanoya Original Dashi Stock Powder [3]
  • 1 packet sea salt [4]
  • 1 packet aonori shichimi [5]

What You Will Need to Prepare:

  • 8.8 oz (250 g) pork, thinly sliced
  • 1 1/2 (300 g) medium onions, cut into thin 1/5 inch (5 mm) slices
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cups (about 500 ml) water

Heat vegetable oil in a pot, add the whole spices, and sauté over medium heat for 2–3 minutes.

Once the aroma is released, add the onions and sauté for about 10 minutes until they turn golden brown.

Reduce the heat to low, add the special spices, and sauté for about 1 minute.

Add the water, sea salt, and the Kayanoya Dashi Stock Powder (remove from the packet), then heat over medium heat.

Once it comes to a boil, add the pork, cover with a lid, and simmer over low heat for about 10 minutes.

Tip: Adjust the taste by adding salt or water to your preference.
