Step 1
Season the beef with salt and pepper (not included in the ingredients list). Cut the Napa cabbage and shungiku into bite-sized pieces.
Step 2
Heat the vegetable oil (not included in the ingredients list) in a skillet and sear the beef on all sides until browned (the internal temperature should reach 130–140°F / 54–60°C). Sprinkle soy sauce over the beef and gently tap it to help the flavor absorb. Wrap the beef in aluminum foil and let it rest for about 5 minutes, then slice thinly against the grain.

Arrange the beef and vegetables on a plate and drizzle with the sauce made by combining [A].
