"I love Original Dashi, Vegetable Dashi, and fresh chili pepper mix I got from Kayanoya in Japan. They taste very natural and authentic."

Kayanoya’s People’s Voice is a series of short interviews with our community—sharing how they cook, what they reach for, and the pantry staples they rely on.
In this edition, Keiko shares how those staples fit into daily routines.

I have been living in Portland, Oregon, since 2004.
I enjoy eating and cooking a variety of food. I have had an immense passion for cooking since I was a child. I love to create a happy and healthy lifestyle.
Here are a few dishes Keiko often makes—simple, flexible recipes that fit into everyday routines.

Sauteed green beans and peppers (red, yellow and shishito) with Vegetable Dashi. Katsuobushi (skipjack tuna flakes) toppings.

Enoki mushrooms and Japanese egg plant spaghetti with Vegetable Dashi and fresh chili pepper mix.
I also often use Roasted Garlic Miso Paste to dip with fresh vegetable sticks and roasted shishito peppers.
Keiko, thank you for sharing your everyday cooking with Kayanoya!
