A bold and flavorful twist on classic edamame, tossed in umami-rich dashi, spicy doubanjiang, and aromatic sesame oil for an irresistible bite.

Ingredients

2 Servings

Directions

  1. Remove the edamame pods from the stem and trim both ends using kitchen scissors. Sprinkle with salt and rub the pods to remove excess fuzz. Boil in plenty of hot water for 4-5 minutes, then drain and let cool.
  2. In a resealable bag, combine [A] with the cooked edamame. Massage well to coat evenly and let sit for at least 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.

Tip: Trimming both ends of the pods allows the seasoning to penetrate more effectively.
