Seafood Curry

The dashi, spices, and umami from the seafood blend together to create a rich and deeply flavorful dish.


Ingredients

4 Servings
  • 4 bowls of cooked rice
  • 8.8 oz seafood mix (large pieces)
  • 1 1/2 onions
  • 1 medium tomato
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 Dashi Curry Kit - Vegetable
  • 1 2/3 cups water
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Directions

  1. Roughly chop the onionΒ and cut the tomato into 3/4-inch cubes.
  2. Heat the butterΒ in a pot, lightly sautΓ© the seafood mix, and set it aside.
  3. In the same pot,Β add oil and the "Whole Spices", and sautΓ© over medium heat for 2–3 minutes. When the spices start sizzling, add the onions and sautΓ© for about 10 minutes until golden brown. Reduce the heat to low, add the "Special Spice", and sautΓ© for about 1 minute. Then, add the tomatoes.
  4. Add water, "Sea Salt", and "Vegetable Stock Powder"Β (remove from the packet) and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Once boiling, add the seafood mix, cover, and simmer over low heat for about 5 minutes.
  5. Serve over riceΒ in a bowl, then garnish with baby greens and roasted vegetables, if desired. Finish with a sprinkle of "Tomato Spice".
