  1. Heat butter in a pot, add thinly sliced onions and sugar, and sauté until golden brown. Add [A] and simmer for about 2 minutes after bringing to a boil.

Tip: You can shorten the cooking time by microwaving the onions for about 5 minutes beforehand.
