How to use Kayanoya Original Mushroom Stock Powder

Method 1: Infusion
Regular-Strength Dashi:
Use 1 packet per 1 3/4 cups water (400ml) for regular-strength dashi.

Hearty Dashi:
Use 2 packets per 2 cups water (500ml) for strongly flavored dashi.

Place water and unopened dashi packet(s) in a saucepan. Bring water to a simmer over medium heat, and hold temperature for 2 to 3 minutes. Remove and discard the packet(s). The stock is ready to use. Please feel free to adjust proportions according to your own taste.
Method 2: Inclusion
(produces stock with particles of dashi powder)

Place water in a saucepan. Tear the dashi packet(s) and empty contents into pan. Bring mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, and hold temperature for 2 to 3 minutes. The prepared stock is ready to use. Please feel free to adjust proportions according to your own taste.
2) Seasoning
Remove the stock powder from packet(s) and add directly to stir-fried dishes; use as a rub for meat, poultry or seafood, as an addition to pasta and pasta sauces, as a flavoring for rice and grains, as a flavoring for hamburger and more; before baking sprinkle on pizza dough.

Tips:
a. Prepared stock stays fresh for 2 to 3 days in the refrigerator.
b. After opening the bag containing the packets, remove the air in the bag and close it tightly; store in a cool, dry and dark place. No refrigeration is necessary.
