Dashi Base for Hot Pot with the flavor of Yuzu Salt is now available in the United States to members of the Kayanoya family.  The refreshing flavor of yuzu and the umami of dashi stock create an elegant taste.  

This product includes three types of packets.  One packet in each set contains dashi specially made from Japanese-produced bonito and grilled flying fish.  Another packet holds our liquid base, which contains Japanese-produced yuzu juice.  The last packet is yuzu peel, to provide a fine finish.

How to store: Avoid humidity or direct sunlight. Do not refrigerate, but store in a cool place.

How to:  

1. Use one packet of special dashi stock powder per 300 ml of water.  Place water and unopened packet in a small pot.  Bring water to simmer over medium heat, and maintain temperature for 2 to 3 minutes.  

2. Remove the dashi packet.  Thoroughly shake the packet of liquid base, then add.  Cook preferred ingredients, starting with those which require the most boiling.

3. When ingredients are cooked, add 1 packet of yuzu peel, simmer briefly — and it’s ready!
